Seinfeld = childish, two-bit humor

Now you read this and you read it good!!! I am thoroughly disgusted with these people who think Seinfeld's humor is brilliant. The show may be funny but his jokes are sophomoric and unoriginal. I don't know why I watch the show. His standup stuff is pathetic and his show always appeals to the lowest common denominator. The plot-lines always revolve around bathroom humor, body fluids, dating, being single, social gaffes, and gross things.

I posted a message before in which I criticized his constant use of sports metaphors. Everything is a big competition to him. When a girl bails out on a date, she "calls an audible". An available woman is an "eligible receiver". I got a question for Seinfeld if he's reading this. If you bang a girl and then perform oral sex after, is that "scoring a touchdown and going for two"??? How queer!

I fail to see why people think this is still such a funny show. Go ahead - flame away!!! Tell me that life is too short to be so crabby, blah blah blah. Tell me to stop watching and stay off this NG - whatever. I can take it.

Hey.....RELAX!!!!! Im not gonna tell you anything b/c you sound like it wouldnt do you a bit of good! EVERYONE has a right to their own opinion though, okay? The show used to be hilarious and now it is very funny. Why do you watch it? Maybe you're just not intelligent enough to understand the comedy. There is a button on your TV and remote to use to change the channel or turn the TV off.

It's satire. Much of Seinfelds humor is ironic and self-amused kvetching about the mundane things we as people on this planet do in life. You either get it or you don't, so don't bleed at the ears trying, just go back to watching Ricky Lake or whatever.

We're wondering why you watch a show you don't like. Seinfeld got $50 a seat when he performed in Atlanta, so apparently a lot of people like his stand-up. Very few shows revolve around bathroom humor although Seinfeld doesn't hold back from using gags based on it. Most of the people watching the show have dated at some time and committed social gaffes, maybe they like laughing at it?

One of the foundations of Seinfelds humor is to mix metaphors and to make it seem like there are established rules for situations where they can't possibly exist. If you don't get it, you don't get it.

Do a better joy of explaining why you think it's a bad show and you won't get flamed. If you just stay on the level of "I think it's a stupid show" you're not going to get much back. . .
