I've seen some posts saying that Castlerock is talking April for episodes on DVD. Is this true?Their site SUCKS and tells you nothing. And, if it is true....way to jump on the DVD bandwagon three years too late.

If it is true, just be happy you're getting a DVD release. While the studios were quick to issue tons of movies on DVD, regardless of how crappy they are, they've been incredibly slow when it comes to TV shows. Especially if it's a TV show that's no longer in production. They only recently started putting out "I Love Lucy" DVDs. Ditto for "Simpsons." "MASH," one of the most popular and long-running sitcoms ever, is finally getting a DVD release in January. "Cheers," which ran just as long as MASH and has proved just as durable in syndication, has no DVD release date in sight. "Frasier" is getting a DVD release next year, but only in Europe.
Don't get me wrong; I hope "Seinfeld" gets released on DVD. I really do. I love that show and still watch it nightly. But it's alarming that it's taking studios soooo long to release shows on DVD, even shows like "Lucy" and "Cheers" and "MASH" and "Seinfeld" that have been enormously popular in syndication over the years. You'd think that with shows that had that much rewatchablitlity (to recoin a phrase that TV Land coined before I had a chance), the studios would jump at the chance. But nooo.....
And it's still surprising that, for a medium that practically seems like it was created with animation in mind, no Looney Tunes (or any classical animation of any kind, save for one Tom and Jerry DVD and the occasional Disney flick) have been released stateside.

The slowness probably has something to do with money, or some kinda syndication deals. When Tv stations dole out the big bucks for shows, they dont want to see the DVD's available for 19 dollars.

That's the point. The owners of the syndication rights will bleed every last drop of revenue from syndication before releasing the property on video.
I think that time is coming because Seinfeld is on at least twice a day(not that there's anything wrong with that).They have been on for awhile, and like others (Cheers), they will fade into syndication obscurity until their resurgence in around 2009-2010. I think that people have gotten their syndication "fill" and will want the show on DVD for quality and posterity.
