I thought the finale was so-so: a decent concept but poorly executed- it needed another re-write. The flaws (and what they should have done):
#1: LET'S ALL TAKE THE CORPORATE JET TO PARIS! This is completely unrealistic in the worst way. First of all, why not have NBC simply fly them out to California and they crash on the way to LA instead of Paris- makes sense to me.
#2: THEY'RE GUILTY They should have been innocent. I was waiting for Judge Vandelay to show his wisdom and declare something like: "Just what punishment should I prescribe? You have all payed for your crimes many times over. George: you're a cheapskate and because of it you killed the one woman who will ever put up with you. Elaine: your callous indifference to all but yourself has driven away all the normal men in your life. So you're stuck with men like David Puddy (note: at some point, the judge would have encountered Puddy doing something weird). Kramer: no one likes a hipster doofus. And Jerry: Your utter contempt for yourself sentences you to live with these three miserable people, who leach off you, suck you dry, and drag you down. I sentence you to go on living the same lives you have been living for the past ten years."
Also, they should have had Newman testify about the dognapping, a detective testify that Kramer was a serial killer suspect, etc.
