Fans debate what was inside the mysterious package Jerry received in the episode, with uncertainty about whether it was resolved on screen.
I know this is a little after the show aired, but I was explaining what happened to someone who missed it, and I just can't remember:
What was actually in the unmarked package Jerry received and Uncle Leo opened? Did we ever find out? (Pleeeease don't write to tell me it was a bomb, because the explosion was Uncle Leo's oven, remember?)
Am I carzy here? I don't think we ever found out.

It was Jerry's stereo which Kramer had damaged to make it look as though the post office did it, so Jerry wouldn't have to fix it but could get a new one on the post office's money. However, Newman got George's pictures with Jerry trying to unjam it and caught him...

The package was a mystery to him, he wasn't expecting anything and it didn't have a return address, and the package itself was pretty shabby looking. I don't think that he was "afraid", but it was rather ominous looking (when you consider what's been going on in society today, it wasn't so far out.)

The package was Jerry's stereo that Kramer mailed. Jerry didn't know what it was because 1)he didn't know what Kramer had in mind when he smashed the strereo and 2)Kramer didn't put any return address on it. This is why Jerry thought that the package was a bomb. If you'll recall, Uncle Leo signed for this package because the mail man mentioned to him that Jerry refused to sign for it. It was Uncle Leo's signature that got Jerry off the hook from the charge of mail fraud.

Jerry gave Kramer the sterio with the understanding that he would be getting a refund but as Kramer never explained just HOW this would be done,,, he wasnt expecting his sterio to be shipped back to him (Jerry)

Kramer took the stereo and mailed it, but Jerry did not know this. Jerry didn't like the looks of the package, because Kramer most likely squashed it before he mailed it, and Kramer did not put a return address.
Dear Matt,
The box Uncle Leo signed for was the damaged stereo. Jerry didn't really think it was a bomb. He was just in an ornery mood when the box came (and he wasn't expecting a package) so he wouldn't sign for it.
Wasn't it Jerry's stereo being mailed from Kramer in order to get Jerry his money back via the postal service?
