Newman

anyone think they should use Newman more often? I don't like Newman, but I think he adds to a show, (i.e. the way Frank Burns adds to M*A*S*H)

I definitely think Newman adds to the show, and I'm not just saying that because he got his acting degree here at the University. He is like George he annoys the hell out of you but the show would lose something if he was gone.

speaking of newman, did anyone see him on the short-lived john mendoza show (can't remember the name of it) where he played a chicago newspaper editor? the show i saw was the one with "Hello, Mr. Suit Thief!" he was great in that -- much funnier than in seinfeld, though the show itself was a bit lame.

did anyone else think "hello mr suit thief" was hilarious, or just me? .....i'm setting myself up, i know.

I think the name of the show was, "Second Half." I thought Newman was great. His part was much bigger (no pun intended!) Nikky

The tension between Newman and Seinfeld is terrific, and I loved seeing Newman about to get hit in the face with Kramer's combat boot on last week's show...so I would have to agree with you.

	And oh, I hope the norwegian gentleman is not offended by the
	"alot" episode. It was all in _fun_; I was in a playful mood
	that day! Actually, when i first read the original post, i
	didn't think anything about it. It was only when the, and I
	suppose, "english-speaking" gentleman asked, "Who's Alot?" that
	the whole thing took off. Again, I apologize. But I hope you
	can see it from my perspective, Herr Nordvik; i don't get
	into a playful mood very often....actually, for me, it's
	"that time of the month" all month-long...:-)

	By the way, I like that dig in another post about the hot
	potatoes!!! I should try that sometime, considering the fact
	that I love baked potatoes.  Now, do you have a suggestion
	for achieving a _real_ norwegen accent? :-)

The show was called "The second half" and the guy who played Newman was John Mendoza's boss. I swear though, that guy has had a small role in about fifty movies.
