George got screwed

Does anyone else thing George got completely screwed by that hospital when that guy jumped off the roof and landed on his car. That hacked me off when the administrator got mad at him for even asking for the hospital to pay for it. They should have...no way should George have had to pay for that damage. He got screwed.

So would it have been funnier if the hospital administrator had said to him "Sure Mr. Costanza, here's a check for your trouble?"

they could have made it funny. i'm trying to think of ways here...yeah, they could do it.

actually, as i recall from some law school coursework a while back,

it's possible to collect from both the hospital and the guy's estate. chances are actually a lot better that the hospital would be responsible and not the guy who jumped, since the jumper was obviously distraught and there are all kinds of weird clauses and defenses about what a person can get away with in such cases.

the hospital however is responsible for keeping their patients (especially suicidal ones) safe.

Are you George's twin? (just a litlle humor) That's a tough one. The guy really wasn't on hospital property when he last was "living" he was in as they say in "thin air"!
