Is there any link between the fans of Seinfeld and the fans of Quentin Tarantino movies? I love them both with similiar passions, and I notice alot of people seem to like to read deeply into both, dissecting every little thing that is said, done, worn, etc...

I HATE Tarantino, and I like the Seinfeld show.
Tarantino movies are sleazy and show much less imagination that the Seinfeld show. One thumb up for Seinfeld and WAY DOWN for Tarantino!
There IS a connection between Seinfeld and Tarantino's only two good movies, RESERVOIR DOGS and PULP FICTION. Anybody who has seen those two movies (as well as TRUE ROMANCE, for which Tarantino wrote the screenplay) will note that, at various points in the movies, the (usually) heinous characters will find themselves talking in a very amusing manner about ordinary, everyday events, despite the mayhem that has either preceded or followed their conversations. ] This is most obvious, of course, in the hilarious conversations between Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson in PULP FICTION. Who is not familiar with the classic "MacDonald's in Paris" bit, where we learn that they don't call a quarter-pounder with cheese a quarter-pounder with cheese because they use the metric system? That's a chat worthy of George and Jerry in Monk's! :-)
Perhaps there is a link - I am a big fan of both and I know others who feel the same.

I'll tell you what the link is -- they're both things which have been immensely popular in the past two or three years, so lots of people will tend to like both, and the same can probably be said about Friends, Star Wars movies, and ice cream...

I think there is a link between Seinfeld and everything else. Me being a deadhead, we on rec.music.gdead *always* discuss "Is Kramer a Deadhead?" etc. Seinfeld is loved by so many, I think your bound to run into quite a few people in your clicks that like the same things. It just goes to show how small this world is.
