Chocolate lab? MB

Does anyone know if the drink Bosco, which George used for his pin code on his bank card actually exists? A friend of mine just named his chocolate lab this and we were wondering??? Thanks.

It sure does. It's been years since I drank any, but I seem to recall it being like the New England version of Yoo-Hoo (and just as disgusting *grin*).

BOSCO is a thick choclate syrup that you can stir into milk and pour onto ice cream. It is everything you ever needed.

It was like Hershey's syrup - squirted into milk and slurped it down. They had a commercial that was a big deal when I was in High School - two huge cartoon rabbits and the one says to the other one "Think I lost my watch?" Hmmm - don't remember why we thought it was cool. Don't think they make Bosco any more. It was nothing like Yoo-Hoo, BTW.

I used to see it also up in Boston and Poughkeepsie and I automatically thought that the business was nationwide and still viable.

I don't know if Bosco is still around, but I used to mix Bosco chocolate syrup with milk when I was growing up in NYC, so it did exist at one time. Posters currently living in NYC may know what has become of Bosco.

Yes it does exist its right next to the hersheys syrup. I guess some supermarkets do carry Bosco.

Yes, Bosco is real. When it was advertised on TV many years ago, the Bosco theme song was played. As well as I can remember, the words were "I love Bosco. It's the drink for me. My mommy puts it in my milk for extra energy...." I don't remember the rest. There was also another version of the song that wasn't sung on tv. Somehow it circulated among kids everywhere: "I hate Bosco. It's not the drink for me. My mommy puts it in my milk to try to poison me. Oh, I fooled Mommy! I put it in her tea. And now I have no mommy to try and poison me."

Yes it's real and it's an Oldie! Kind of 1950ish or so. In the days of Black and white TV the kids shows like Howdy Doody advertised chocolate flavored syrups for milk. Ovaltine was a powder and Bosco was s syrup that came in a jar. Always a mess that Bosco, like getting drippy honey out of a jar and into the milk without getting it all over the countertop. I think the Bosco in the commercials was cooled to thicken it up and stop the drips.

The best marketer of a similar product was Nestles Quick. Paul Mitchell ventriloquist and his pet Farfel the dog were the pitchmen for Nestles. Major

	have it when we were kids. Don't know about now though.
