Anyone else notice that there is quite a bit of dying on the show (i.e, Susan, the old lady with the pony, the mental patient bailing off the hospital roof, the man in the hospital who couldn't stop laughing at Jerry, etc., etc.)?

Fans note that Seinfeld frequently features death and dying characters, comparing it to other comedies like Mary Tyler Moore, Mad About You, and Friends that also use death for comedic purposes.

Lisa's right: Happened several times in Mad About You, and at least once in Friends... in Friends Ross even falls into an open grave. In MAY they lose the urn of ashes at the races...also there was the episode where Paul can't use his credit card because they think he's dead...someone with the same name died. Death seems to me to be a common scenario...I guess it's because it's interesting to see a comedy about our biggest denial...like maybe it's not so bad if we can make light of it.
