KFC commercial with Jason

I just saw a KFC commercial with JA. It was pretty lame. Jason is talking to some kid and he basically says that this bucket will save america from ordinary fast food and that there is fast food and there is KFC.

I kind of liked the commercial. I think the ad writers wanted Seinfeld fans to draw the connection between JA's character George with kenny roger's chicken and the new character with KFC>

Which reminds me, exactly what was George doing during the entire Kenny Rogers roasters episode? I only remember a lot of interaction between Jerry and Kramer in that episode.

I've seen the KFC ads (there are more than one) a couple of dozen times (they run during Phillies games here in Philadelphia), and I didn't think of the Kenny Rogers episode once. If that's what the commercial writers were going for, they missed by a mile. The spots are very similar to JA's Rold Gold pretzel commercials from a few years ago.

I really like the commercials. They're supposed to be a bit over the top. Like someone mentioned---the ROLD GOLD commercials. There is something appealing about that short, bald-ING, chubby guy. " I like that commercial. To me it rings true". ; )
