UK fans discuss efforts to get Channel 4 to broadcast Seinfeld after BBC dropped it, with debate over rights holders and feasibility.
Can we all send off letters begging Channel 4 to pick up the show now that "Auntie" BBC has washed her hands of it? and maybe.. just maybe we can get a proper full run at last?

This might not be possible as Paramount have the rights to show it in the UK.

Are cabsat rights not different to terrestrial. For instance Paramount show Frasier constantly (good thing) but Channel 4 have shown not only new episodes but some repeats for instance at present 10pm Friday. Also Friends get shown on Channel 4/E4 constantly but also on Sky One. Dharma + Greg is on both Paramount and Sky One, Will + Grace on Living and Channel 4, South Park on Channel 4 and Sky One etc etc. Of course may be some fine details about who had first run etc that mean some shows are different to others. But I imagine if Channel 4 really wanted it they could get it.
This is all true, also i e-mailed the BBC to ask if they plan to show Seinfeld again and they said no. They might not want it gathering dust.
