Name of Restaurant

Does the restaurant where they always eat have a name? I'm not sure, but I think it just says "Restaurant" on the outside.

On the show, as previously stated, the diner is called "Monk's" The actual restaurant is in the Columbia University region on Broadway at (I think) 112th. It's real name is "Tom's Restaurant" and, of course, the interior looks nothing like the show.

The real restaurant in New York is called Tom's. It's on Broadway up near Columbia University. It is totally different inside than the one on the show.

They never mention the name on the show, but the real one in New York where they shoot the exterior has a name, but they crop it out for broadcast so that they don't have to pay a royalty to the owner.
