two questions

1.does it vex anyone that seinfeld and mad about you are linked via the episode in "mad about you "when Paul Reisner gives his key and rent controlled apartment to kramer . 2.is seinfeld more like "the dick van dyke show" or" the jackie gleason show".

It doesn't vex me, because I've never seen "Mad About You."

Well, you know, lately I've been thinking that our favorite show has a "Green Acres" feel: Jerry as the Mr. Douglas character--surrounded by zanies/zaniness.

not very familiar with" green acres" we missed out on some sitcoms in the countryside where i grew up.but i loved the concept of a switch on beverly hillbillies.was mr . douglas ed albert? how would you compare"my mother the car" with "seinfeld "?

Hmm. My Mother the Car and Seinfeld. I don't recall seeing the former. (I note that as we get older, three things start to go on us. The first is our memory. The other two I don't remember.) But yes, Eddie Albert played the frustrated Mr. Douglas on "Green Acres"--a zany, zany TV show.

I would think the Nick at Nite crowd might better be able to answer the question about the D-Van-D show. I don't get cable TV and I didn't watch the show much when it was on regular commercial TV.
