Jerry's Apartment

In the last few seasons, I noticed that the gang dont seem to buzz Jerry's place, they just seem to show up. In the early days, they always buzzed. Why do you think this is? Maybe Jerry cut keys for them cause they were always coming up? But sometimes they still buzzed.

I think it is done because it is easier for the writters. If they buzzed in EVERY time it would be annoying and by allowing a character to show up unexpected gives variety to the show.

There is this funny scene in 9th season's "The Strongbox" where Elaine tries to buzz up and it doesn't work so she keeps yelling at Jerry thru the window. Jerry then investigates the buzzer malfunction and find another of Kramer's keys hidden there. The key shorted out the buzzer.

The key in question is the key to Kramer's new strongbox. Of which Kramer never ever bothered to lock. George also eats the candy Jerry through down to Elaine but landed in the sewer.
