Jerry says if he comes back to TV as a regular performer, it'll be in a different kind of show, maybe a talk show. Hmmm...his pal Dave Letterman says he'll let his contract with CBS lapse and he'll probably leave in the fall of 1999. Jerry is planning to take a year or so off from TV and just do selected standup dates after production wraps on "Seinfeld" this spring. So...on the last Monday in August, 1999, will it be "The Late Show Starring Jerry Seinfeld" at 11:30 at night on a CBS affiliate near you? Fits, doesn't it?
