What .... NOBODY saw the interview with JS on the Charlie Rose show last night? I think it was new, because Rose just took his talk show to a national PBS audience.
Good interview -- very serious, much more so than the B. Walters talk. Jerry went deep into why and how he comes up with his comedy ... his HIGHLY structured private life (the rows of 20-30 pairs of Nike sneakers that CANNOT get scuffed) ... how he went from making his family laugh, to making his friends laugh, to getting completely unknown people to PAY for him to get them to laugh ... his proudest personal moments (on stage, in front of 7,000 people) ... how highly he regards his fellow cast members and their talent ... he said any of them could carry their own show ... how the show is different than others because the COMEDIAN is the most stable character (unlike "Martin," etc.).
Rose showed the clip from when Jerry and George pitched their TV show ideas to the NBC exec. The interview was about 20 mins, uninterrupted. (This was PBS, after all.) Hopefully, they'll repeat it someday.

BTW, a lot of you are wrong, IMHO ... the movie episode was a lot better than the parking space episode ... a lot less yelling and whining overall, and it was refreshing to get out of JS's apartment ... And sure, they used some standard sitcom situations, (people JUST missing each other, etc.), but they used them REPEATEDLY, as opposed to the other "Three's Company" shows that would've been happy just using them once.
