Flow Seemed Off Tonight

I have had no complaints about the last few episodes, but tonight seemed a bit off. I noticed that Jerry and Kramer were tied together and George and Elaine, but the foursome weren't tied together like usual.

Also, the old guy (Izzy?) seemed to be on his last legs. It wasn't just acting either.

I suppose if you only rate the episodes according to whether or not they manage to tie in each plot, this wasn't a good one.

The flow was definitely off. It was almost like watching a pilot. There seemed to be no chemistry between the characters, much like the very first episodes of Seinfeld. I don't want to declare this season a bust until a few more episodes, but so far so mediocre.

There were a few times where I cringed. That's how I "rate" this season's shows. "The Blood" made me cringe 3 times.

1. Kramer's reaction to the receptionist at the blood bank. It seemed forced. 2. Jerry and Kramer screaming at each other in the hospital. 3. The mother and George getting it on, esp. when she turned on the TV. Just about the most predictable scene ever.

I agree. But, I think maybe the lack of chemistry has something to do with the weak scripts that they're given. It seems to me that the actors really want to make it work, and I think they're doing the best they can. And I think that the show generally still has good ideas to work with...but they just don't seem to be executing them well. (I'm talking about the scriptwriting, mostly, and the lack of cleverness in filling out some of the good ideas.)

I agree, that laughing is important, but "The Blood," still seemed disjointed. And for me, the humor factor was down. (Translated--I wasn't laughing as much.) But I'm glad for you! :-}

The old guy - Lloyd Bridges on his last legs?? Hardly. It was just good acting.

I dont know, lloyd Bridges looked like he was on his last legs to me too.......if that was acting I'd be surprised.
