In the show "The Tape," Jerry conveniently sees a guy he knows on the other side of Monk's, giving Elaine the opportunity to tell George she is the voice on the tape. I'm convinced Jerry calls the guy "Beater," but in the transcript, it says the guy's name is "Peter."

Any chance this guy could be BENDER the proposed replacement for Jerry in the Friends O Clyde softball game that took place in The Pony Remark? Jerry could not miss the funeral for Manya and the softball playoff game was the same day. Jerry suggests BENDER as his replacement in the game to George while eating at Monk's and George reponds that BENDER SUCKS or something to that effect.
