Ther character name was Nina West & in The Letter she painted one of the most beloved paintings associated with Seinfeld- The Kramer. The actress who played Nina was Catherine Keener and I do not know what she did since this episode in 1992 but I'm sure someone will!!

I saw her in" Living in oblivion "(95) with Steve Buscemi , she looked familiar so I looked her up in the Imdb and there she was in notable TV appearances in Seinfeld's "The Letter" Here is the link;
