Allrigt, Seinfeld is great but there are some really bad episodes. The most shittiest episode I saw was yesterday: the Parking Garage. What a lack of good Seinfeldesque humor. They completely lost it on this one. What are your least favourites?

George lining people up in the service department at Puddy's dealership for a chocolate bar "taste-off" was the worst scene ever. I was actually embarrassed while watching it.

That was one of my fav. episodes. Its not that big of a deal. I really hated the episode with Marline. She was very annoying.

I liked that episode because I just love Puddy. Him and Elaine are a crackup. With all the changing boyfriends/girlfriends over the various episodes it's great to see a couple. And then how they break up and get back together so many times within the space of like 10 minutes! Kills me!
I love the episode when Puddy tells Elaine she's going to Hell.

Hmmm. I can respect that you didn't like that episode, but I can't sit here in good conscience and let you say it lacked Seinfeldesque humor without responding.
This episode was practically the essence of Seinfeldesque humor. I mean, the idea that a sitcom episode can be devoted to the most mundane of experiences, looking for a parked car, simply *reeks* of Seinfeld.
Throw in the public urination subplot (weighing a socially unacceptable act against personal comfort), George's incessant fretting over missing his parents' anniversary and tons of tiny bits like Elaine confronting the two bodybuilders for not caring that her fish will die, George wanting to spit on the Mercedes as a passive-aggressive way of getting back at the insensitive driver who parked it across three spots only to roll over when the driver showed up, and throw in the backhanded dig at Scientology and you couldn't ask for a more Seinfeldesque episode.
Dave (and the car not starting at the end was pure gold. Moreso because it happened by chance.)

I definitely don't agree with it. Maybe you (Dave and John) watch Seinfeld with a different perspective than mine. I just like an episode because...I simply like it, it makes me laugh, situations are hilarious or whatsoever. When I don't like an episode, it annoys or irritates me, it doesn't give me the laughter I usually get when watching Seinfeld. Maybe it was wrong to call imo. 'bad' episodes' not seinfeldesque, because I actually don't know what Seinfdelesque is. I only know what my own humor is and most of the times these 2 fit. But sometimes not, and that's what I call a bad episode.

I hate the frogger episode. I like the earlier episodes more than the later ones, which are so inconsistent and fake. The Parking Lot and the Chinese Restaurant are classics, I cant see why people don't like them.

The Frogger episode is one that I really enjoyed. Seeing George go through so much to preserve an accomplishment from his past is quite universal. Even the frogger game prepared him for the 'real life' challenge of crossing the street with it. (Mixed in with the idea of slippery pete et al. who wanted to excel in something only if it was breaking the law).
The Chinese Restaurant... well if you look at it in terms of how people 'entertain' themselves to pass the time, then there may be some value to that episode. But, I just thought that most of it's humor was based on the lack of English comprehension of the Asian host guy. In real life, I'd go to another restaurant...

That's the fun part. I mean, do you really think that somebody would buy a Frogger machine? That isn't real life also, but you did like that episode. So how come you dislike the Chinese Restaurant because it isn't real enough?

I love the awkward silences between George and Elaine. Especially when they both want to say something and Elaine says: "No, you first." and George says something REALLY boring. itsgoldjerrygold. And the way they solve the problem of irritating people with a real dog barking through the whole episode by using human-barking is pretty cool.

The one they showed today (Sat.) in NYC at 7:30 (also at 7:00 in the Baltimore area) with Elaine almost renting the apt. above Jerry's was also pretty bad. (I see UPN in Baltimore is showing "Raymond" now at 7:30 instead of a 2nd "Seinfeld")
It's ironic people hate "The Chinese Restaurant" - because it's the one Jerry is most proud of.

Gradually, the pace of the show quickened up over the years to the right level for several seasons until the last couple of years, where it was way too fast and crammed too much in.
* The Alternate Side - One or two good bits but a pretty lame episode overall. In particular the plotline of Elaine dating a much older man was wasted; perhaps it was something that would've been better utilised in later seasons.
* The Airport - The Jerry/Elaine plotline repetitve and one-dimensionsal, something they usually avoided.
* The Dinner Party - Pretty uninspired, with the low points being the uncomvincing plot element thrown in that George feels physically threatened by Elaine, and the ending to the double parking/Saddam Hussain subplot, which falls completely flat. George's jacket and his complaining about bringing wine make the episode worth watching.
I have to say that the show lost me in the last couple of seasons (especially the final season) but that's more a general complaint against the tone of the show, not specific episodes.
