Seinfeld Movie Homages

Here are some I can think of. There are more. Anybody else?

1. Three Days of the Condor - the episode where Kramer tried to return his mail, Newman drove by and told him "here's how it will happen".

2. Midnight Cowboy - the episode where Jerry and Kramer took the bus to New Jersey and Kramer's nose was bleeding.

3. Apocalyse Now - the episode where Elaine went to Burma and Peterman said "Are you an assasin?"

4. Last of the Mohicans - the episode where Kramer was lost in the East Village and Jerry said "Stay alive! I will find you!"

5. Marathon Man - the episode where Kramer pretended to be robbing George in front of the Russian tourists and the old jewish woman was pointing the finger at him.

• JFK - the episode with Keith Hernandez and the sptting.

There is a bit of a nod to the Godfather when the laundry massacres Jerry's boy.

Also, too many Kahn's to keep track of.

I was just watching "The Great Escape" and there's a scene where Donald Pleasance, who's going blind but what's to show that he isn't so that he'll be included in the escape, walks across a room to pick up a coin to show that he's not going blind. The coin was placed there in advance. Of course this is similar to a scene in... "The Glasses"?

Some of the Newman episodes have vague references to film noir, though I can't pin them on any specific movies. Like the one where the cops come to arrest Newman after he and Kramer kidnapped the dog for Elaine and Newman opens the door and says, "what took you so long?"

Also, when Jerry wanted to date his girlfriend's roommate, and he and George tried to think of a scheme to accomplish it, the sequence was an homage to a great flick that I just can't recall. Anyone?

In the Bookstore when Jerry Rats out Uncle Leo. Later at Monks Leo says I never forget. Then Jerry has a nightmare where Uncle Leo is in prison with tatoos on his fingers, and he's doing push/pull ups just like Robert DeNiro in CAPE FEAR. Dave
