Kramer's nosebleeds on "The Mom & Pop Store"

OK, I need some help here. I just saw the the "Mom and Pop Store" episode, and can't for the life of me figure out why Kramer gets so many nosebleeds. He gets a nosebleed in Mom & Pop's store, which causes him to look up & see the electrical wiring problem that eventually caused them to shut down. What's weird is the ending scene where Kramer & Jerry are in the bus on their way to Parsippany to retrieve Jerry's shoes, and Kramer gets another nosebleed and says something like "I'm fallin' apart here, man!"

Anyone got any ideas?

My opinion is that the writers saw the need for Kramer to have a nosebleed in the last scene on the bus to duplicate the ending of the Oscar winning movie, Midnight Cowboy, so they gave him a nosebleed earlier in the show to set up the premise.

I agree. They had to do some Jon Voight movie parody as George bought Jo(h)n Voight's car in that episode.

-oddly enough, the nosebleed thing was happening to my dad for a while. he'd get several nosebleeds a day, they would stop for a week, and then they would start up again. it was freaking my family out (naturally), but apparently it was caused by taking too many asprins. weird, huh?

Side note, and off topic, but I was watching Frasier the other night, and there was a scene where he stole an old woman's blood clot medication. At first I was horrified, then I recalled George pulling the plug on Neil's IV at the end of "The English Patient"

The Phoenicians? I always hated them. The way they over-enunciate every syllable. It's enough to make you sick.

And the nosebleeds also furthered the plot by allowing Kramer to notice the faulty wiring in the ceiling of Mom and Pop's store.
