Well, Seinfeld will end this spring...about 2 seasons later than it should have if you ask me...it has just not been as fun the past few years as it was early on. I used to think that this show had the potential to be the funniest comedy in TV history, but it doesn't even surpass CHEERS as one of my favorties, although it could have if the quality had kept up. I think Larry David was the real genius behind this show, and when he left, things were never the same again. Mabye Larry will consider a spinoff series featuring Kramer. Of course, the best spinoff would feature Kramer AND George together...I don't even think we would miss Jerry or Elaine!!! If NBC is smart, they could have a spinoff with Kramer and Newman in one show, and George and his parents in the other...thus turning one hit show into two!!! One show could be called "Kramer", and the other "The Costanzas". Anyway, expect FRIENDS now to take over the 9pm time slot on Thursdays. Either that, or look for a move of Frasier back to Thursdays...now that's a REAL comedy! [email]

They've had some bad threads recently but they still have had some funny episodes.
It's hard to rate tv shows but I'd say Seinfeld is by far the funniest. My other top shows are Bob Newhart, Andy Griffith, and The Odd Couple.
Other than sitcoms I used to laugh myself sick over SCTV. And the early SNL's were classics.
The one thing I've noticed about Seinfield is their links to the comedy past. George and Jerry at times remind me of the Honeymooners and at other times of Abbot and Costello. Seinfeld brings up memories of Harpo Marx. Aside from these obvious reference points, I can watch many scenes and can see the ghosts of old movies scenes from comedies long ago.

Friends is a show about pricks for pricks. It s a DIRECT rip off of the Seinfeld formula. Frasier has gone down hill FAST. I cant even watch it anymore its so stupid. Did you see the Halloween episode? SUUUUUUCK

I don't agree with that. But I can say Friends ain't as funny as it used to be.
Actually, it is. It's Seinfeld, only that everybody's older and add a little Melrose Place into the mix and you've got Seinfeld.
It's on it's way downhill. The jokes are getting old and most new episodes are fun but lack the appeal of the show in it's first season. The universe of Frasier needs new plot development.
Oh, well. By the way, Seinfeld has a very good place in TV History. Seinfeld is on the par with Cheers, as one of the greatest shows ever on NBC and one of the most innovative tv shows ever-Seinfeld set the standard for all modern sitcoms in the 90's.

Seinfeld is a show of the ages. Seinfeld is up there with Cheers, MASH, I Love Lucy...maybe even better than those classics. Remember The Cosby Show and how that spawned all those horrible family sitcoms (Family Matters, Full House, even anti-Cosby Shows like Rosanne and Married With Children), next decade from 2000-2010, I can bet that most of those shows will spawn off of the Seinfeld formula

And do you remember the 'squinting thing' that Zelda used to do, then Dobie would do it right after, like a reflex, and they would play a little 2 tone "plink" with each squint? Can't think of a better way to describe it, but it was a running gag that worked.
