Puddy character will appear 5 more times this season.

Viewer finds the episode boring with weak plots across the cast except George, criticizing recycled jokes and tired narrative devices like teasing Jerry-Elaine romance.

this must be the theme for the season because 'serenity now' was just pretty boring overall a reversal of fortunes from last week: -george's plotline was the only one that was funny at all -another waste of time plot for elaine, but at least there was no puddy -jerry's proposal was especially vexing because everybody knows they're just toying with the audience and there's no way j. and e. are ever getting back together -kramer wasn't given anything to do -at this rate, soon jerry will be having two or three entire relationships, start to finish, inside of the same show

-as for the ending -"well that's because you're an idiot" : how could anyone at seinfeld headquarters think that ANYONE would find this funny when they've used the exact same line about ten times?

Yes, I think that a little of the Puddy character goes a long way. Since his character is due back on 5 more times this season, I hope the producers give us a rest from him for a few episodes.
