I'm trying to recall that episode where he was working to convert to Latvian Orthodox. I remembered him completing the ceremony, but after he found out the woman he craved for was leaving the country, didn't he just "forget about it"? There hasn't been a reference to it since... doesn't look like he considers himself of that faith.

He converted solely for the woman. It would seem logical with the woman gone so goes his interest in the religion.
