Inconsistency in Festivus episode

When George is talking to Jerry about the $20,000 check for the Human Fund, he does a whole bit about how he'd like to be a philanthropist. However, George HAS been a philanthropist, and he DIDN'T like it. Remember the foundation in honor of George's deceased fiancee that her parents set up, and that George had to run?

Agreed- George WAS a philanthropist- though he wasn't able to give money to who he wanted, etc. due to the board. I think it would have been in character for Jerry to point out "You've been a philanthropist" and George can say "not on my terms" or something-

Another inconsistancy was that Kramer had been working at the bagel shop 12 years ago, when we learned only a few weeks ago that Jerry has known Kramer for 13 years (when he moved in-- Backwards ep.) and in that entire time has never known Kramer to have a job.

Yes, this is either an inconcistency or its an example of George's consistant spouting off without thinking first.
