inter-episode references

Is there a list of references in Seinfeld episodes to previous episodes? Man, that would be a long one...

Thought of this, because I just watched The Stock Tip, and in the first scene, where Jerry & Elaine make a point of saying the names of each others' partners, I think that must be a reference to The Stake Out where they make the agreement to talk to each other about such things.

These references, or reincorporations, call-backs, call them what you will, are part of what makes Seinfeld so enjoyable to watch, I think.

Well wasn't Morty's wallet lost in that same episode though (Jerry found it in his couch in the season finale, "The Pilot")...

Now that I just finished watching "The Money" Jerry and Jack Clompus refer to the pen in "The Pen" (one of my top 5 faves!)

They also refer to the pen in "The Raincoats" as Jerry answers the phone and it's Klompus. He says "I've still got that pen" or something

And also in "The Money". Jack drives the Caddy into a swamp and loses the pen. Jerry remarks that that might make it all worth while. This pen remark is what causes Jack to kick Jerry out of his house, making him sleep in the car.

I love that bit though in "The Raincoats" when Klobmpus says he can't open the door and morty says "even my idiot boy can open it" Jerry goes "what have I done??"

BTW I think Jack Klompus (played by Sandy Baron) was one of the best-cast recurring characters on the show (along with Kenny Bania). "TAKE THE PEN!"

It was the same story, wasn't it? The first and second parts respectively of a two-parter, IIRC.

What I had in mind, rather than plot strands which carried over from episode to episode, was call-backs which weren't actually part of the same plot strand - e.g., in one episode Jerry says to George, "I'm thinking of getting a yo-yo," and in a later episode we see him getting out a yo-yo and playing with it. Or the classic call-back in The Outing, of the sponge-bath from The Contest.

Stick those on the list to start with.

I'm also hoping some people will have spotted with some more subtle references, like the one I mentioned in my original post which I hadn't picked up on in previous viewings.
