Call-backs in 'The Cadillac'

so, what is a call-back? please respond. thanks

Can you believe how many call-backs there were in 'The Cadillac'? I counted an all-time high of FIVE, which is a little excessive. I used to like call-backs. They were like an inside joke for those who were paying attention. Now they make them so blatantly obvious that they lose their subtlety and their humour.

Anyway, here's my spots:

• George: "We had a pact!" - from 'The Engagement'
• Jerry as 'The Snatcher of the Rye' - from 'The Rye'
• The hide-a-bed from hell - from 'The Pen'
• George's "Manure" story - from 'The Soup'

and finally, the one that reaches back the farthest,
5)  The exchange between George and Elaine about Art Vandelay:
    Elaine:  What's he do?"
    George:  He's an Importer!
    Elaine:  Just imports, no exports?
    George:  He's an Importer/Exporter, okay?!

    This is lifted verbatum from 'The Stakeout', where George and
    Jerry make up an excuse for being in the same building as a
    woman that Jerry wants to date.

I was rather surprised that they didn't do a call-back to 'The Fix-up' when George was describing M.Tomei (She's got great cheeks, Jerry! A pinkish hue!)

	It's when there is a reference to a previous
	episode. For instance, the lady who was friends
	with Jerry's parents was the lady that Jerry
	stole the  bread from.
