I have some friends that rip on the show, but I just shake my head. When I start talking about some funny seinfeld stuff, they start seeing the genius.
Some of my friends and some I know with "shifty" personalities don't like the show. It just confirms that the show was gold.

Amazingly it was the highest rated show in the US through the last several seasons. Aside frorm the Beatles, it's one of the few times when something's been massively popular and... actually deserved it!

I get that too. One of my best friends hates it. His main argument goes along the lines of "they pay a fortune to loads of guys to sit around a room and write and rewrite that" - ergo it's manufactured. As if being sloppy and amateurish is a plus. He (being of puerile mind) did enjoy the Contest when I made him watch it. But he generally says when I relate bits to him that I make it sound funnier than it actually is (!?).

Exactly! None of my friends like Seinfeld. I've tried hard to convert them, but they stick with Friends(yuck!). It's a shame, because now I can't talk about Seinfeld with them.

When I first starting watching it back in 1991, I couldn't Jerry's lil smirk. It's like he knew what was coming and he had to do everything he could not to laugh. While the other actors kept straight faces.

Was going to add that very same thing to my "likes". He does it with his own jokes, the jokes' of others and mostly Kramer's antics al the time.
I love Elaine's little cough/throat clear when she's lying or feels uncomfortable about what she's saying.

Yes, that is good. But the scene I think was one of her best was her
