Cosmo vs. Kramer

I think I'm giving Cosmo a thumbs down. It's not so much the name, but rather the strong emotional attachment I have to the name....Kramer. Anyone else on the same wave length?

I couldn't agree more. I think the writers made a big goof on this one. Kramer's first name (I didn't even know what name first or last Kramer was) was kind of like never seeing Vera on Cheers, and the similar no-showing of Maris on Frasier.

Kramer is my favorite character on the show. He's no Cosmo.

yes, i certainly hope they revert back to kramer. wacky cosmo was good for only one episode!

I totally agree. I'm still bummed that they revealed his first name. I think it should be spelled Kosmo though.

We DID see Vera on Cheers! I remember! I remember! :) I don't quite recall which episode it was in ... but I do remember an episode where I exclaimed, "*THAT'S* VERA?!?!" Maybe someone else can remember which episode this was?

Vera's FACE was never shown, as far as I know. But in the episode where they all go over to Carla's for Thanksgiving, whe comes in at the end when they're having a food fight, but has been hit in the face with a pie before entering. Therefore, we don't see her face. She was surprisingly well-built and had nice hair, from what you could see, so I was kind of surprised that this was the woman that Norm had avoided going home to all these years by hiding out at Cheers. There was *one* episode where Vera was on Cheers...but no one could see her. They were having thanksgiving at Carla's house, and Vera walked in and had a pie thrown in her face, so you couldn't see any features. There might have been another time when we saw Vera's legs walking up/down stairs to Melville's, but we *NEVER* actually saw Vera's face or features.

I agree that it was lame and unnecessary to give Kramer a first name. Someone mentioned to me that if they feel they need to give Kramer a first name, they must really be reaching for plots....
