How's this for an idea......
Jerry walking through the streets of New York on his way to an appointment...keeps glancing at his watch, etc. Sees Newman, delivering mail, says 'Hello...Newman..." who looks somewhat frightened, and brandishes his Mace cannister until Jerry walks away.....
Runs into George, who is in a suit, and carrying a briefcase, and says hello to him, but George doesn't recognize him as someone he knows, and ignores him....
Jerry keeps going, boards subway, spots Kramer, tries to say hello, but same thing happens...no acknowledgement of ever having met before.....
Goes into a psychiatrist office (remember the Doctor that Elaine was dating? - the svengali?), Elaine is the receptionist/secretary,and Jerry is confused....ushered into his office for his 'weekly' appointment....
The Doctor asks..."tell me all about what has been happening...let's start again with the man you call Kramer....he fascinates me"..."then we can talk more about the"George"".
Final shot could be Jerry being hypnotized on the couch...with the Doctor saying"You must forget all of these people, they are not real,....YOU CAN AND YOU WILL...." View from Jerry's eyes as the watch swings back and forth as the camera fades to black
My premise is that Jerry(neurotic by nature) has developed a fantasy scenario in his life where the people he encounters in his daily routine are placed in these roles as his friends/aquaintances/etc. All of the stories are manifestations of Jerry's mind.
Any thoughts??
