With the series ending is Jerry going back to stand-up for sure or is there the possibility that he might start making movies? I know that he's not the greatest actor but he's funny enough to make up for that.

Jerry tends to underestimate his acting talent, just like a great comic of the past he reminds me of---Jack Benny---used to. He's actually developed into quite a good actor, far better over the last several years than he was in the first few episodes.
Having said that, he still says he prefers stand-up and TV acting, and has no desire even for a cameo role in a theatrical film, much less a starring role. He wants to per- form before live audiences. Who knows? A Broadway comedy certainly is something well within his range, and if he were ever offered one of the major networks' 11:30 nightly comedy/variety/talk shows, he'd dominate. We obviously can't tell him what he should do. But it sure would be interesting and entertaining to see him on Broad- way or (and this may be a possibility) as Letterman's suc- cessor on CBS if Dave follows through on comments he's made indicating that he wants to retire from his current show in the fall of 1999. Either job would keep Jerry in his favorite city, New York, and leave him plenty of time to relax and unwind. (Especially the Letterman gig...he'd be in about 9 in the morning to start the day's work, and be finished taping and home shortly after 6 every night.)
