I couldn't find a mad about you group so I thought someone in this group might watch it and be able to answer my question.

What show did the lead actor play in previous to mad about you?

He looks kinda familiar.

The lead actor in "Mad about You" is Paul Reiser. He is also a standup comedian and used to star in a sitcom, "My Two Dads," with Stacy Keanan (sic?) and Greg Evigan. I think that this was one of the best comedies on TV (next to Seinfeld, of course).

   The actor's name is Paul Reisner(sp) , and starred with Greg Evagen(sp) on
   the show MY TWO DADS!!!!!! The actresses name is Helen Hunt just incase
   someone lese posts to find out her name.    Paul is also a well known
   comedian....

I believe Paul also played in _Alien 3_ He was the guy from "the company" that came to tell Ripley all the bad news... He was a real bad guy in this movie!

Did'nt he also acted in Beverley Hills Cop II?

No; that wasn't Paul Reiser.

Wasn't it the guy who used to be on Lou Grant? I have a vague memory of this--but I may have my Aliens mixed up (2 and 3).

You're right. Paul Reiser was in Aliens(Part 2 of the series) as the man from the company. Part 3 of Aliens, was the one where everyone was bald. =)

It was _Aliens_ he was in. Which led to a good joke in the next-to-last episode of this season, when he was asked: "You ever seen those Alien movies?"

Paul: "Only the first one."

Good joke. Now, back to Jerry, who, when we left him, was wandering alone through the Scottish moops...

I always liked what Ripley said to him when they all found out about his scheme with the alien creatures.

Now, is Mad About You going to remain in its Saturday time slot in the fall or is NBC moving it back to Thursdays?

And is there a way I can somehow avoid everyone's killfiles? I mean, my messages don't seem to go anywhere, and I do try to contribute to the discussion.

I think the name of that show was "My Two Dads".

On one episode Fran's husband was complaining about his midlife crises and asked Paul if he had every seen the Aliens movies. Paul said that he only saw the first. (That was a inside joke because he was the company man in Aliens that almost got Ripley killed.)

I just heard on the radio today that Seinfeld (who is 39 I think) is dating someone who is 17! Isn't that illegal you say? Maybe, it'll probably be in the next National Enquirer!

Just thought it was funny!

I recently read where these two aren't an item anymore. Perhaps they reason they broke up, was because somehow Jerry just couldn't see himself at the Senior Prom????

Might I remind everyone that the original rumor came from the National Enquirer? Since when is the NE considered a valid news source?

The only picture ever shown of the two is sitting and watching a Knick game. (See, unlike the celebrities at Laker games, New Yorkers actually come to see the game and not be seen.)

I've seen it in the paper too. Her first name is Shoshana, and I know someone who knows someone who knows her. So I don't really know her.

OK, the question's been answered, and I think the MAY quota for alt.tv.seinfeld has been used up for about the next three months. All you MAY fans should bear in mind that there are a number of loyal Seinfeldians that really loathe MAY, and for whom every article posted to a.t.s about MAY is "like a red hot poker in my heart" (*). So PLEASE stop dissing this newsgroup by discussing that wretched show! (Perhaps I should be thankful that it's not HI!)
