When George does right

A few times, George actually acts nobly. For example, when he thinks he got his date pregnant, he offers to be "there for her" whatever she may decide to do. Even in a later episode, (by this time his character had gotten more unabashedly self-serving)he runs to try to patch up a marriage whose breakup he thinks he caused (when Jerry and Elaine selfishly try to stop him). There are only a couple of times I can think of--but these occurrences of George being good are always interesting to me. Are there other times when George is good? --Joe

Case in point: the girl he was dating with the big nose. He couldn't get past the nose. He manipulated the girl into getting a nose job, pretending it was for her when it was really for him. When it turned out to be a butcher job he literally passed out on her and gave up. Kramer truly stood by her and she wound up with him.

Maybe in "The Busboy", when George thinks he may have gotten the busboy fired. He seemed genuinely concerned about the guy and wanted to help him get another job (or at least to apologize in person). Jerry and Elaine thought it unwise lest the busboy be one of those people who walk around the street pricking people with pins.

George was truly concerned about the sercurity officer standing all the time and got him a chair. This is "good George" at his best. There are not many cases of this though.
