In the *HAMPTONS* Elaine tells the doctor she would love to have a baby. This year in the *Vasectemy* episode she says she does not want to have a baby. OK,OK, the girl from Towsond, Maryland said on a recent episode she wasn't jewish. Non-the-less the show's writers have sprinkled x amount of clues that she is indeed jewish. If you think the nice & easy girl is jewish say so here!!!

Why is this so important to you? It's pretty flippin' clear that the woman just IS NOT Jewish. Fine. Very simple. WHY are you so desperate for her to be Jewish? At least debate George - his ethnicity/heritage/religion is still up for grabs, so you won't seem so desperate.

That she went to a shower with "obviously" Jewish people (again, I went to a party with black women - does that make me black?), is not a "clue" by most people's definitions.

Yes it is THEORETICALLY possible that heritage-wise she carries the Jewish line, blah-de-blah-blah. But at this point, who cares? The show has definitively stated she's not Jewish. REAL clues (ie, wearing crosses, crossing herself, SAYING she's not Jewish) say she's not Jewish. Why are you so determined to show that she is? What do you gain from this? Why are you obsessed? What's in it for you, baby? :) Move on to George. Now THERE is room for debate!

David Tharp is one of our groups "Gentle Trolls". He is not harmful, he just likes to keep threads alive and "reel-in" the logical readers. It's all a game. I can't talk for him but, I'm pretty sure that he must know that a TV Sitcom universe is ruled by the shows writers. If they have a character say "I'm not jewish", then by the rules of that universe that ends the discussion. He simply wants to fight the laws of Sitcom physics, and have a little fun with the perplexed newsgroup readers.

The thickheadedness of some people on here is mind-boggling. I will say it again:

1. If people say they arent jewish, we accept that and move on. this isnt nazi germany.

2. Not everyone in New York is Jewish. you are confusing a "new york" premise with what you see as a jewish premise. these people are completely secular. religion plays virtually no part in their lives.

What would you do if Jerry Seinfeld, Andy Ackerman, Larry David, Tim Cherones, Alec Berg, Spike Ferestein, and Julia herself met with you and told you categorically that Julia was NOT Jewish? Would you feel a pang in your heart of disappointment because your self-esteem was't as high without the concept of a Jewish Elaine? I'm just trying to figure out if you're a shit disturber or psychotic. :) PLEASE answer this post directly.

p.s. I don't care if Elaine is Jewish or not (but the evidence seems to weigh against it). If Julia's character was portrayed by writers as Jewish in the show, I'd be equally perplexed if you claimed she wasn't.
