That would seem in contrast to Jerry's character (true in both sense of the word): in one Inside Look interview, Jerry comments how it was odd if not reason for concern when the network upped the budget beyond limit because "inexpensive is good for comedy" (not sure what his exact words were but that's the gist of it). I also cannot imagine Jerry (the man) over-spending beyond careful reason: there is a CD where he is interviewed extensively on how he worked his carreer long before the show happened and the man is a hard worker. Hard workers don't strike me as splurgers... it just doesn't seem right.

That said, there is of course no end to human depravity and we all might succumb and waste money faster than we can earn them. I just can't imagine Seinfeld being in that lot as easily...

As for Jerry, who knows how much he has and how much he actually spends. He made lots of Seinfeld, and he's still collecting royalties from reruns. So I'd say he can spend whatever he wants.
