different sets!!

I am new to this newsgroups, so maybe this has been discussed, but WHAT IS UP with the three different sets they use? It's usually apt. 5A, but sometimes (at least 2 episodes) it's been 3A, and sometimes there's no apt. #, but a door knocker instead, as in a recent syndicated one I saw. And the furniture and other architectural details are different (cabinets with or without glass, the cereal shelf is absent, etc....). I hope there is a simple explanation for this.

There is a *very* simple explaination for this: It's a TV show, not real life.

Sometimes they build new sets, and some minor aspects that have no impact on the show are inadvertently changed.

Sometimes they just screw up, and use the wrong door on the set. Is it really *that* important? Stop playing your tape back to check what the door number on the apartment is. Just tell yourself "it's Jerry's apartment" and try and enjoy the show.

There seem to be a number of things that change during the "off-season". I've noticed that Jerry's bike has changed between seasons, and a lot of other things around the apartment. That's probably the same with the door. (There's been talk of the door subject, at a much more detailed level, elsewhere in ats.)
