Volunteer Firemen episode

What was the title of that episode where they became Volunteer firemen? Do you remember the sequences where the characters were explaining what happend to cause the fire station to burn down? Hank's story seemed pretty accurate. Dale and Boomhauer told their stories to glorify themselves, Boomhauer giving himself perfect speech and diction, Dale giving himself long hair and more intelligence. But when Bill told his story, I didn't see anything wrong with his story (that I remember right now) except that he was completely bald. What was that all about?

Bill's story shows how low his self image is, as opposed to Dale, who saw himself as something much better.

I've only recently realized just how intergal Bill's poor self image is to his personality, especially after reading some of the replies here. I guess that's what his version of the events say about him, but at the same time the similarity to Curly wasn't lost on me. :-)

It says a lot about their respective self-images. Hank seem himself (and the world) pretty accurately; Dale thinks he's smarter and better-looking than he is; Boomhauer doesn't understand that he's incomprehensible; and Bill thinks so little of himself that he regards himself as completely bald even when he's not.

I remember the Boomhauer story. When they started talking, I laughed so hard I nearly fell off my chair.

yep, that was a switch hearing Boomhauer talk in a way that could be understood and her the others talk like Boomhauer.

my favorite part of that episode is them playing ping pong with the smashed ball. I can really relate to that.

Also, why did Bill eat his pizza like he was at some eating competition (hands behind the back)??? Too funny.

Sometimes the writers on the show are almost too good...
