LuAnne's Weight Gain

Greetings all!

Did anyone other than me notice that LuAnne looks to have added some poundage in tonight's (Lawnmower Focus Group) episode?

Could she be pregnant???

My husband has noticed his too,as have I,and pretty much all who I discuss koth with.I had said before that I hoped Luanne was carrying Buckley's child.I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

There was also the episode when Hank caught Luanne and Buckley in bed,I
believe it was either the trailer ep or when Luann moves in with
Boomhaur.So we know that they were getting it on.I think,either through
Luann or Peggy,a baby in the house could definitly provide some material
for the writer's,and explore a dfferent side of Hank.
My hubby says my stepfather is Hank Hill,and to see that man,who is 6'3
and 250 lbs.,teaching the gradchildren how to fish,well,it gets
me,(thumps chest) right here.
I'm just saying,I would love to see how Hank deals with a baby,a girl
baby would be better.

I do think the writers could use some new material. The Bobby-as-comedian piece was lame, and the Focus-Group show wasn't much better. What makes the show hilarious is the way the characters interact with one another, ie. the interpersonal relationships. The plots they're working within right now are stretched mighty thin.

I'm not too sure about the weight gain, though it's possible. Luanne didn't look remarkably bigger either at the Thanksgiving table or during the procession to the car before dawn. She did look heftier at the skating rink at the mall, but that could be just the baggy sweater she was wearing.

In the Halloween episode it wasn't quite as obvious to me that she wasn't a virgin, though it was obvious that something was running through her (cartoon) mind. (It might could be she's a technical virgin with a guilty conscience about something.) In the episode when Hank caught Luanne and Buckley in bed together, they were both fully clothed when he pulled off the covers. In the episode when she stayed with Boomhauer, she might have been braced for something more, but looked mightily relieved when he plopped the blanket and pillow on the couch and went off to his own room alone. I almost hate to seem like a voice of thinking good about others, but the couple everyone "knew" had been doing you know what on _Felicity_ during the same real-time period (but an hour later) turned out to have done no such thing. It happens, even on television.

As far as still being "attached" to a person six months after a death, it's certainly not unusual, especially after a fall. Whole religions owe their popularity to similar experiences.

As far as the possibility of her carrying Buckley's child is concerned, time will tell. Luanne would have to be less pregnant than Didi and more pregnant than Peggy. At least two months (of Cotton-intervisit time) and up to two years (of hair growing time) and maybe "really" five months (of viewer time) have passed between the Explosion episode and the Thanksgiving episode. A woman of Luanne's weight might go four or five months without being too obvious, and a heavier woman might go six or even seven months. Surely by April we'll know for sure.

Hank will probably get to deal with a baby in any case, and it should be interesting to see how his methods have changed. My guess is that one baby will be enough for the creators.

I'm hoping this doesn't turn into a corny "I Love Lucy" fiasco, with dual pregnancies running out the show.

good gosh.......if Peggy gets pregnant, if Luanne _is_ pregnant, that makes three babies in the family! and that's if nobody has twins or................yikes! gonna give Rugrats a run for its money................
