I like Cotton Hill...I guess because I see a lot of people I have known in his personality... I think he is great...

That's your opinion. I think he's obnoxious. I can understand why Hank puts up with him. As his son he feels that he owes it to him, but what does Didi see in him?

I agree, Cotton is obnoxious...however, I don't think that that makes him a bad person. As far as Didi, kind of typical, and not just for women. There are many in this world who, sadly, hook up with whatever they can just for the security, and so they won't have to be alone. Not to mention that she's a dimwit... Elvis

Yes, Didi may be the proverbial few bulbs short of a chandelier, but I get the feeling she's jus' 'bout had it with the shinless wonder.......I think a big chunk of that postpartum depression may be just from living with the guy, coupled with the realization that a baby makes it that much harder to walk away from him.......or put a pillow over his face as he sleeps.......or accidentally chop 'im into several pieces and run them down the dispose-all..............

Not only did he know Kahn was Laotian, he also knew Gary was Jewish.

As I recall Didi like s Cotton because she thought he was so little and cute and helpless like a baby... now that she has a “real” baby maybe she won't have a need for Cotton anymore, and then what? I'm another pro-Cotton man though.

Scum? SCUM? Would scum get Peggy's job back when she lost it for spanking Stewart Dooley for pantsing her? Would scum sacrifice his own future to save Bobby from getting blamed for the church fire? Would scum give up his shins for his country? Cotton is about the only adult character that recognizes the greatness of Bobby Hill. All Cotton needs to make him human is a good standing up to, as has been demonstrated by Peggy, Hank, and Bobby. Cotton may be one of the three most noble adults on the show, while the rest are betraying confidences or leaping to unwarranted conclusions *all the time*. And he knew that Kahn was Laotian. And he's Topsy's friend. And he knows Luanne's name.

At worst he's just _sort of_ obnoxious.
