To be honest I am as far outside of popular American culture as one can get and still live in the US of A. So perhaps someone can tell me what happened to KoTH last night?
At the appointed regular time I turn on FOX and find, not Hank and Peggy, but some completely stupid and ignorant sitcom about, heck, who the hell cares what it was about. Where was KoTH?

Every once in a while, network will try out new shows in proven time slot. In Fox's case, that is between Simpson and The X-Files. Last year, they try out a new show called Ask Harriet, and for 2 weeks, it ran in KOTH's slot. This pass Sunday and next week, they are trying out another new show.
The reason they do this is so that someone will aleast watch the new show, and hopefully gain enough exposure, and enought people to like it to follow it to its final slot. KOTH will return next week.

Another thing is, with full seasons of shows now consisting of 22 episodes, all episodes can be shown twice (and some holiday episodes seem funny when rerun out of season) and there are still 8 more weeks left in the year before the new season starts. So they have to put something else on or else rerun episodes a second time within the same year, which is pushing it. So, most shows get bumped several times a year anyway.
