Is Bobby getting smarter?

When I was watching "Plastic White Female" after when Bobby fell in love with Luanne's plastic head, I noticed that he started to like girls after a while.

If some of you may have noticed, when Bobby was in school, he was doing some stunts with his books in his locker to impress girls and he suceeded doing so.

My question is, was Bobby getting smarter in that episode? Also, he used the plastic head for practice to kiss girls at that party. I remember during my Junior High days, I've heard a lot of my friends were practicing kissing a pillow.

Do you think in later episodes Bobby will remain the same as he was in the earlier episodes? Or will he change?

Interesting you brought up kissing pillows, because, when you do think about it, a lot of young inexperienced children will kiss their arm, a pillow, etc. to learn to kiss. Just because Bobby happened to be using a plastic head doesn't make it any weirder. It was rather natural, until Bobby started using it as a crutch.

I like Plastic White Female because it opens the possibility of something going on between Bobby and Kahn Jr.--among many other things. (It's my favorite of the year.)

So, it's Hank's tolerence and Peggy's babying him that makes Bobby not 'with it'. Now I understand. I've always thought Bobby was just a dumb kid, no offense. I just hope in the next episodes that they don't turn Bobby into a precocious smart-alleck!
