"A Firefighting We Will Go" in a nutshell

I thought the first act or so was a bit boring (maybe because my dog barked incessantly throughout several scenes <g>), but it picked up tremendously in the third. Boomhauer's story, in which everyone spoke gibberish but him, was a stroke of genius! Notice how similar Hank's voice is when he talks that way. -*wink-wink*-

I think there were a couple of plot elements they never got to resolve, like Luanne wanting to be a fire-person, and I thought they forgot about Peggy for a while. If I missed anything tremendously funny in the beginning, tell me and I'll rewatch the tape. If not, ah well. One more thing: No Cotton Hill! Woo-hoo! I mean, uh . . . what's the "King of the Hill" equivelant of "Woo-hoo?"

I absolutely lost it over this bit. I nearly pulled a groin muscle with laughter. It wasn't a favorite ep of mine otherwise -- in the effort to do the Stooges, they forgot that these characters aren't THAT inept; it would've worked better with Homer Simpson and his beer buddies -- but that was simply priceless, I tell ya whut!

Not a bad follow-up show for King of the Hill ,IMO. You've got the contrast between a white lower-middle class family in a world which seems to be unaware of blacks and a world of poor blacks seemingly unaware of whites. The scheduling itself is funny. :)
