Fox's website muddies the waters (Hollywood)

It looks like this whole "KotH to Hollywood" business is tied in with polls that Fox has been running on their website, http://www.foxworld.com/. A couple of weeks ago they asked "If the Hills moved, where should they move?", with choices being New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. L.A. won. Last week the question was "Where should the Hills look for a new home", with choices Malibu, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood. Hollywood won (though as of today Malibu is ahead). Today they are asking, "What should Hank's new job be?" with choices being lifeguard, waiter/screenwriter and Hollywood director.

I still don't get it. Either it's a bad joke or an example of "interactive art" at its worst. Is Fox going to claim that whatever emerges from all of this is what the viewers wanted? Do we get to vote on the following?

The suits who thought up the "Hills moving" polls should be

   ( )  Staked naked and spreadeagled on a fire ant nest
   ( )  Roped behind the pace car at the Arlen Speedway and
        dragged for a dozen laps
   ( )  Transferred to a show that nobody will care if it's
        screwed up beyond recognition, like BH 90210.
