It depends on what you mean by "delayed".

If you mean "show the whole episode after football ends, then delay the rest of the night's schedule as well": pretty much never. (They never did it with "Futurama" in the four years it was on Sundays at 7:00 during football season.) Especially now with so many people having things like TiVo, people expect their shows to start on time; also, the local Fox stations complain when they can't start their 10:00 news on time. (TiVo is not smart enough to delay its schedule if an earlier program runs long.)

If you mean "don't show the episode at all": I don't think there's a "written in stone" rule. There have been cases where just the last five minutes of a "new" episode aired. (For hour-long shows, like when "Space: Above & Beyond" had the 7-8 Sunday time slot, the "usual rule" was 30 minutes.)

(If a new episode is scheduled but not shown in the east, Fox replaces it with a rerun in the west. This happened twice in the 2002-03 season, including when "Goodbye Normal Jeans" was originally scheduled to air.)

Here's a classic example of how Fox compares KOTH to The Simpsons: last year, they had schedule part one of the hour-long season finale (where they go to Japan and Hank discovers his Japanese half-brother) for 7:30, then a repeat of the Simpsons season finale at 8:00, then part two of the KOTH season finale at 8:30. However, the football games that night ran until just before 8:00. The logical solution: show the two KOTH episodes back-to-back. What Fox did: show the Simpsons episode, then part two of the KOTH episode, without showing part one (except in the western half of the country)!

they did delay Koth by 5 minutes for the pregame show and then show the whole ep and just delay the rest of the sunday night lineup by about 5 minutes

there have been times when the will show a game in overtime after one has ended and not show Koth at all and just fill the time between the end of the game and the Simpons with a pregame show
