Anyone else notice that the name of Peggy's death row friend was the same as the director of tonight's episode? Or was I the only one who reads the credits?

Just wondering... tpe

Well, one had a middle name. Martin, wasn't it?

Am I to understand that the brains behind Beavis and Butthead AND Jack Mack and Radboy Go, when chopped, combined and formed into a gelatinous pink block resembling nothing so much as a large hunk o' Spam, produce KOTH? That's truly amazing.............

( reminds me of that elementary chem class I took so long ago.............take a highly explosive element, add a deadly poisonous gas, and you get table salt...........a result about as predictable as that one! )

Hey, another thing I noticed about Wes was when Hank, Peggy, and he were at the Warden's office, when Peggy and Wes stared at each other. First they showed they're whole bodies, then it showed their hands close up, and Wes didn't even have a shackle on his hand when they showed it close up!

Anyone else notice that blooper, too? BTW, it was a good episode.

That was some sharp observation there, and I am as happy to pick out continuity errors as anyone, but this is not a clear-cut one. In the close-up shot of his hand, the shackle was indeed nowhere to be seen, but his hand showed up large with the rest of his forearm foreshortened behind it. In the previous shot the shackles around his wrists were visible, but not the chain between them, which was presumably in his lap because his hands were closer together. Before that when both hands were on the arm rests, the chain was shown stretched between them.

It's possible that the shackles were just forgotten in that one shot, but it's also possible (and I think more probable) that they were just not visible in the close-up, given the position of his hand on his leg compared to previous shots. It's not like they forgot his wrist and forearm, too.

How come? In B&B most of the characters were as realistic as most of the characters in KOTH. Sure, our boys achieved heights of stupidity rarely achieved in modern literature. But the show also produced Daria, whose show rivals _King of the Hill_ for hitting the nail on the head. The early B&B animation was a little crude (and Beavis's own animation even cruder), but later animation was almost as good as KOTH's. There are certain similarities in the voices that are easily explained because the same people are voicing them (say, Tom Anderson and Hank Hill), but there are also certain similarities in outlook (say, Tom Anderson and either Cotton Hill or Bill Dauterive). Anthony reminds me of David Van Dreeson (am I getting these names right?). Much has been made of Dooley's voice similarity to Butt-Head, but I think that that's only because Mike Judge is voicing them both and that there are few other similarities in the characters. Dale Gribble looks a lot like the son of the phone-sex lady, but I don't see any other similarities, except maybe the cigarette technique.

But you'd be hard-pressed to find the table salt after "Da Boom". A strong acid and a caustic base, stirred gently and evaporated may be a little neater, but still not a good idea. That reminds me of when I was in basic and they sent us into a room filled with chlorine gas, where we had to don our gas masks, clear them, stand there long enough until they were sure we weren't just holding out breath, then walk into the next room full of tear gas, take them off, and recite our name, rank, and serial number to the nice sergeant before going outside for a breath of fresh air. _Beavis and Butt-Head Join the Army_, now there's a movie. Or _Bobby, Connie, and Joseph Join the Army_.
