Luanne's Hair

I realize that they pretty much have to broadcast the episodes in the order of completion, rather than the order originally intended, but if they knew this going into the season, why would they bother with the issue of Luanne's hair growing back? It kinda bugs me seeing her with short hair one week, than a full head of hair the next week, then much shorter hair the next, indicating that it's still growing back. It's not like they can claim that she got her hair cut, or is experimenting with new hairstyles. We all know it's growing back after the Mega-Lo Mart fire.

And what's going to happen in syndication? People who have never seen the show before might wonder what's up with the crew-cut on the cute chick. I wish they had just given her a real wig in the season premiere, and let her wear that until her hair returned.

I mean, this isn't "Friends," where you almost have to watch the episodes in a certain order! Luanne could have had a full head of (wig) hair the week after the fire, and then just never brought it up again. The hair, that is. Not the fire.

Excellent show. Eddie Murphy does a great job with the voices he does. And I think a lot of the dialogue is very well thought out.

Well at least they try for some consistency. Just last night on the Simpsons rerun I watched Moes burned down so Homer let him use his house as his bar. Of course next week Moes bar miraculously resurfaces just like the old Moes.

On another note if Luanne ever poses for Playboy I'll buy the first issue. :^)

This is only one of the many non-consistent episodes of the simpsons. Also, remember these:

1. In "Miracle on Evergreen Terrace" when the locals residents stole all their stuff 2. When Homer totaled both cars in "Mr. Plow" 3. When the entire town of Springfield was moved down the road in "Trash of the Titans" 4. Homer totaling his car again in "The City of New York Vs. Homer Simpson" 5. When Homer's car was destroyed yet again by Truckasaurus in "Bart the Daredevil" 6. Snake stealing the Kwik-E-Mart in "Marge in Chains" 7. The Flanders having their house back to normal after "Hurricane Neddy"

I'm sure there are about 1,000 other continuity errors that I didn't mention. There is no continuity between episodes of the Simpsons, and nor is there meant to be.

And it really gives the writers carte blanche. That's just one headache (continuity) that they don't have to worry about.

One more thing about Luanne. I don't think she's dumb. I think she's just naive and a little confused, that's all. BTW, I _did_ notice her hair changes, too. Maybe she's just trying different styles.
