No way,Didi is a nurse,and Luann can't even get through beauty school,she can't even do braids.Not that I'm knocking Luanne,she's cool,just not the brightest crayon in the box.

Either way, the proof of Didi being dumber than Luanne can be summed up in three words: She married Cotton! And not 40-odd years ago, like Hank's mom did. Cotton might have been tolerable then. No, Didi fell in love with the current Cotton, something I highly doubt Luanne would (or could) ever do.

Luanne isn't dumb, she's just misunderstood!

You are correct sir.She was a candystriper.Now she works at a cosmetic counter.As for marrying Cotton,there's someone for everyone.Who knows,maybe being shinless gives the old man some kind of advantage in the sack.It's even possible she knows he has a huge life insurance policy.She has to have her reasons for putting up with it.By the same token,Buckley did'nt exactly treat Luanne with respect did he?Alot of smart women fall for worthless men.I'm not saying that Didi is a genius,I'm just saying that she has a bit more on top(of her neck,nothing below that qualifies in this debate:).

Of course, Didi also says stupid things sometimes.

(Cotton says something about Didi being Hank's mother). Hank: She's not my mother. In fact, we were in kindergarden together. Didi: Do you still like to Fingerpaint?

I prefer to call her Cotton's wife just as Cotton calls Peggy Hank's wife.
