It's amazing that some of the people who found nothing wrong with delaying KOTH a week for a baseball game, now say that it would be wrong to delay KOTH a day for election coverage.
These same folks also feel that anyone who feels that election coverage is more important that KOTH is some sort of kook.
Has it really come to the point where baseball and cartoons are more important than civic duty? It's no wonder our society is in the shape that it is.

Civic duty is to vote. Watching election returns has nothing to do with it. My opinion is that KOTH should preempt baseball and election coverage.

Well considering there is watching history live (baseball) and watching something that is not only statis, but past tense and will not change and is not historic.

I realize this sounds like Dale, but I think you all have been watching too much news. The evil news media has made you think that by watching election results you are being intelligent and keeping up with current events. They don't give a crap whether you are informed or not. All they care about is ratings.
In my area they didn't have coverage, at least none that I could see, until ten o'clock. If no one is going to watch then they are not going to have any coverage. I guess no one was interested enough to sit there for four hours They know that most everyone who wants to watch election coverage will be watching CNN or reading it off the Internet.
And don't presume to think that you are superior to me because I would prefer to watch a cartoon than election results. I am old enough to remember when they broadcast the conventions and the debates and the results on TV because there was no CNN and they knew they would get ratings, and kids sat there bored out of their minds because their parents insisted on watching.
I say thank God for cable and the internet! Get your info somewhere else and let me watch my shows!
