KotH & the Stooges

Tonight's episode "A Fire-fightin' We Will Go" was obviously a tribute to the 3 Stooges. But how many specific Stooges references were there? I spotted two. The "I'm drowning you out, Hank" song Dale kept singing ("B-A, bay, B-E, bee...")was used in a Stooges short (the one where they show up at a womens' college and are mistaken for newly hired professors). Also, "3 Blind Mice", which was used as opening and closing music on the Stooges shorts, appeared at the very end of the episode. I'm also pretty sure that were shorts released under the title "A-(something)' We Will Go".

Any more?

That is called the alphabet song. The idea is to put the consonants in front of the vowels:

B-A BA (BAY) B-E BE (BEE) B-I Bicky BI (BYE) B-O BO (BOE) Bicky BI BO B-U BU (BOO) Bicky BI BO BU

I made the Three Stooges connection, but it didn't occur to me that Bill was supposed to look like Curly. I thought it was odd that in his version, he was fatter and balder than he actually was--I thought it was just indicative of his low self-esteem.

Since I have never cared for the 3 Stooges and never watched them, I enjoyed the King of the Hill show without comparing it to something else. My husband and I laughed all the way through it, we thought it was very funny.
